Senior Citizens “Shower of Love” Fellowship Luncheon
The Petals of Hope Foundation’s directors are proud members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Orlando Delta Omicron Omega Chapter. We are excited to announce the 30th annual “Shower of Love” fellowship luncheon, taking place at the James R. Smith Neighborhood Center this October.
During this event, local chapter members will provide lunch, entertainment, and fellowship, along with guest speakers who will share valuable medical and economic insights with senior citizens in our community. This gathering is a heartfelt way for the sorority to express gratitude to seniors for their contributions to making our community a better place to live. In 2023, the chapter proudly served over 300 seniors, alongside several local government officials, including the Mayor of Orlando.
The Petals of Hope Foundation, Inc. and Delta Omicron Omega Chapter celebrate the dedication of local college-educated women who volunteer their time to honor the significant impact that senior citizens have made in fostering progress within our community over the years.
