Senior Citizens “Shower of Love” Fellowship Luncheon
The Petals of Hope Foundation’s directors are members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated with membership in the Orlando, Florida Chapter. The Orlando Chapter ( Delta Omicron Omega), will be celebrating the twenty fifth (25th) annual “Shower of Love” fellowship luncheon, at the J.R. Smith Community Center in November.
The local chapter members provide lunch, entertainment, fellowship, with guest speakers, sharing medical and economic information to the senior citizens in this community. This event is a continued effort by this sorority to say thank you to the senior citizens for helping to make this community a better place to live. In 2014 this chapter served over three hundred (300) seniors and many of our local government officials, including the Mayor of Orlando.
The Petals Of Hope Foundation, Inc., and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., are proud of the local college educated women who volunteer their services to recognize the value of the contributions these senior citizens have made to bring about progress in this community over the years.
